    Günderodehaus (Oberwesel, Germany)

In 2005, after the filming of the six-part series HEIMAT 3 by director Edgar Reitz, the ‘Günderodehaus’ was handed over to be used as a film museum and cultural centre. The house, which is over 200 years old, comes from Seibersbach in the Hunsrück region and was dismantled by restorer Uwe Rumeney and initially re-built as a dilapidated half-timbered ruin above Oberwesel for the film, and restored in the course of the film.
