    ITALY: Don Bosco, Rome

    Don Bosco in Rome

The Don Bosco cinema theatre was founded in Rome in 1963. It operates in a peripheral neighborhood of the city, with few structures dedicated to the world of culture. Don Bosco is the beating heart of the Salesian Cultural Centre, whose activities range from cinema to theatre, to training courses.

The main activities are the screening of arthouse films and the creation of cinematographic activities dedicated to young audiences, such as school screenings, screenings dedicated to children and training activities for children and teachers.

The two key words to describe Don Bosco’s activity are “welcome” and “quality”. it is important that the public feels at home in Don Bosco, and at the same time we think it is important to offer a quality program with a quality projection system.

The theatre staff is a mix of young professionals and volunteers who are cinema lovers.
